The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Fleet Compression Shorts - Women's:
I was looking for some seriously compressing shorts for running about a 2 months after I had surgery on my lower back (where most of the vibration hits when you are pounding the pavement). These shorts were perfect - they kept vibrations to a minimum, were affordable, and have lasted me about 5 months of use and they still hold their shape and all that. Other reviews have said that these are too short, and that may be true for some people, but I'm 5'3" with shorter legs so the size small is working out great for me. These are a little heavier than some less-supportive compression shorts I've owned in the past, but they could still be worn under pants or shorts for other activities if you need the compression feature.

Comments about REI Fleet Compression Shorts - Women's:
I love tight compression shorts for running so I thought I'd give these a try (I usually use Nike or Brooks). However I was very disappointed after my first couple runs in them. I couldn't get more than a few miles without the fabric on the inner thighs causing terrible chaffing. They weren't loose on me at all (I wear an XS), so it wasn't like the fabric was moving around causing the irritation. I think the seems just aren't sewn well on the inside. The inseam is also very short (2") and I didn't like where they hit on my thighs. Usually love REI clothing but these fell short in my opinion.

Comments about REI Fleet Compression Shorts - Women's:
For my body, these things SERIOUSLY need some kind of rubbery stuff inside the cuff of the legs. They look and feel good at first, but before I've run very far, I've got booty shorts. I'm 47 - this is not what I'm looking for. For the record, I'm 5'5", 135# - not skinny, but quite fit - and I got these in a medium.
Interestingly, I own a pair of long running tights by REI that have rubbery stuff in the cuff at the ankle, where it's much less likely to bunch up. I wonder why they didn't incorporate that into these.
I hate returning stuff I've already used, but I sure can't use these for their intended purpose.

Comments about REI Fleet Compression Shorts - Women's:
Last year I bought a pair of Nike compression shorts from REI and wanted to buy another pair this year; however, I couldn't find the same ones. I ordered these from REI instead since they looked similar and had great reviews, and they are awesome. They're my favorite shorts for working out or running- they stay in place, aren't too short... I love 'em!
