I originally gave it 4 stars. But after wearing them for a week on our last camping trip - they deserve 5 stars! The weather became very cold and rainy and thus, could not wear all the shorts that I packed. I wore these pants everyday and they looked great and felt great. They are the perfect thickness and have the perfect amount of stretch.

Love these pants. They fit great and look really great from behind. I got compliments from other women on how good they fit and look on. They have a little spandex in them so the snap isn't always popping when I sit like my Northface ones. The spandex makes them flexible too and I didn't even notice them when I hiked and climbed. The two different choices of lengths is ingenious. Sometimes I want capris and other times I want shorts. Perfect for an airplane where you don't know what the temperture will be. They hand wash easily and dry quickly without wrinkles. They pack well and come out without wrinkles. They could use a leg pocket, which wouldn't be difficult for them to add. The only thing is I wish they offered it in more colors, especially black.

I love these pants because they are comfortable. I don't even mind the shorts/capris convertible options. I have pretty thick thighs and muscular calves and don't find the zipper placement constricting as others have complained.

I find the fabric to be lightweight and durable for general casual use, but when worn on hiking, the slightest branch will snag the fabric. These are definitely best for warmer weather, but in cooler weather, I wear a pair of running tights underneath, which works well.

However, for an "adventure" style of pant, the Rendezvous lacks some basic utilitarian features that would take them from a "just okay" pair of pants to an "perfect" pair:

The pockets are at an awkward angle and impossible to zip/unzip without pausing to hold the fabric taut with one hand and zip with the other. They could use some additional cargo-pant style pockets on the front with snap closures for easy access to larger items.

The back pockets are a bit flimsy. Having them snap at the top would go a long way to help secure valuables in place.

A mesh key pocket on the inside waistband would be a nice plus. The front pockets required so much fiddling to zip/unzip, that I worried about my car key falling out during the process.

It would also be helpful to have side zips at the ankles to help getting them on/off over boots.
