Oboz makes really great trail runners. This is the third style I have owned and they do not disappoint! They have a stiff sole which is clutch if you are backpacking long distances. While I have only had these a short while, I typically get 500 miles of backpacking in a pair of Oboz before I switch them out. You could go longer, but I have terrible feet and need the support! Don't worry, these don't get "really really smelly" if you wear merino wool socks like most hikers/ trail runners do :)

The Oboz trail running shoe is working out just fine for me. They fit true to size and are very comfortable right out of the box with no break-in period necessary. I had read about a weird smell from them in another review and don't detect that at all in my pair. I'm happy with my purchase.

These are great shoes, but they smell bad. I can't keep them in my closet because of the smell. I left them outside on the deck for weeks to air out, and they still smell bad. I can't think of any good use for them unless you want to keep people away.
