This carbon Scott CR1 Elite Compact road bike supplies a smooth and responsive ride that's well-suited to long days in the saddle, training on rough roads or those looking for a touch more comfort.

  • CR1 carbon frame is oriented toward performance as well as comfort, combining low weight, stiffness and a more relaxed geometry for long days in the saddle
  • The result of the frame design is a performance-bred ride that handles and rides comfortably—not quite a pure racing machine, but close
  • All-carbon fork, chainstays and seatstays feature the Scott Shock Dampening System (SDS) to damp road vibration, helping reduce fatigue and offering a smoother ride
  • Full SRAM Rival group offers excellent drivetrain performance, featuring the DoubleTap shifters, which deliver smooth up- and downshifts in one motion using a single lever
  • Compact crankset drives a wide-ranging 11-28 cassette for a versatile range of 20 gears to handle challenging grades and spicy pursuits
  • Syncros wheels are outfitted with Continental Ultra Race folding tires to ensure fast, smooth rolling through the miles
  • Please note: pedals are sold separately
  • Specs on the Scott CR1 Elite Compact road bike are subject to change

Comments about Scott CR1 Elite Compact Bike - 2013:

This review is for the 2012 CR1 Elite, which has Mavic Kysirum Elite wheels and Scott branded handlebar and Stem (may be the same as Syncros brand). This bike weighs 16lbs w/o pedals. I've ridden just over 500 miles in less than 3 months, most rides about 30 miles, 3,000 to 6,000 ft climbing. Averaging about 2mph faster than same ride on 2004 Orbea with Campy. Very comfortable over rough asphalt and those liquid asphalt repair snakes. Climbs great, even under 69 yr old legs. Rival group is great, but not as smooth shifting as Campy Veloce group. Not sure how Syncro wheels compare. Stock Selle Italia X1 is cheap, otherwise would be 5 stars. Swapped out for my old Fizik Arione. REI shop mechanic did fantastic and quick set up after delivery and adjustment after 300 miles
