Took this to a 2-week trip in Asia, and it held out the rain perfectly. My shoes and pants were soaked, but my t-shirt under the jacket was dry as can be.
This is now my favorite lightweight jacket I bring with me daily -- way more compact and useful than an umbrella in most cases!

I wanted this as a rain coat for when I bike to work. It's bright color is great for that.
It's other purpose is a shell while skiing. I haven't used it to ski yet, but think it will be great.
I'm 6'5'' 185lbs and XL has been great.
