      I replaced the default insoles of my Oboz hiking boots with these. The new inserts fit perfectly in my size-10 boots. The Superfeet are comfortable, but I did not notice any added warmth from the merino wool.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      These are great insoles for a pair of winter boots. How about shoes? Well, the thickness of this insole limits their use. However, it is possible to very slowly and carefully peel off/remove the bottom plastic stabilizer piece, which will then allow this insole to be used in your favorite winter shoe. It will still offer plenty of arch support. Save the plastic pieces, perhaps for use in another pair of shoes that have a thin insole but perhaps could use a bit of added heel stability :)
