          These sandals are much lighter than Chacos. However, they still have not improved on the straps, in that you cannot fully unstrap them without having to fight to pull the velcro tabs both in and out of the buckle. They work much better if you don't unstrap them all the way. Also, the same areas continue to cause chafing, especially if you have a "bony" foot like I do. Overall though they are reliable, especially for water based activities.

          the velcro at the back strap catches at the opposite heel - makes the strap fray. No big, just cosmetic.

                distictly lighter than the regular terra-fi 3. runs about a half size small (lengthwise) due to the heel cup.

                somewhat lacking in friction on smooth, wet surfaces.

                can't say yet whether will have same longevity issues as the terra-fi 3, as i've only worn them for a week.
