The Columbia Bugaboot Plus Zip winter boots are packed with Omni-Heat® insulation that envelops your feet in tremendous warmth, so you can make the most of every winter day.
- Super-lightweight Techlite® shells feature coated leather uppers and waterproof, breathable membranes, creating sturdy, weatherproof shells for your feet
- 200g Omni-Heat synthetic insulation and thermal reflective linings retain the heat your feet produce for lasting warmth
- Flexible collars enhance freedom of movement without sacrificing protection; front zippers and heel loops allow easy on and off
- Compression-molded EVA midsoles provide excellent cushioning for all sorts of winter tromps; thermal insoles help prevent heat loss
- Nylon shanks supply torsional stability when walking or trekking on uneven terrain

These were stylish and warm, I wanted them for snowshoeing, but did not fit me right. They seem study and waterproof. They seemed to run a little big, but that could probably be corrected with thick socks. The problem is they made my feet achy and I didn't like where they hit on my shin. I felt these boots were uncomfortable.

I have a pair of Merrill boots that have been great, and the best things on ice. The upper zone has some neoprene, and although hard to pull on, they fit great. But they are really worn out. I thought these would be the perfect replacement - simple and stylish, but when I saw how stiff the shaft is, I took them back. I can't have any (more) stiff boots hurting my shins. So if I had enough carpeting to really walk in them, maybe the dynamic wouldn't have caused pain. Now my living room is full of boots trying to find something as good! The Keen Betty Boot seems great.

I thought these boot would be the easy go-to boot for cold, but they are so stiff it would be painful on my shins to walk. No idea how they fare on ice, sending them back.
