Comments about Marmot Connect Softshell Gloves - Men's:

They look sharp, clean, and professional while on the job. I also wear them running and they do a relatively decent job of wicking moisture and keeping my hands dry; not always toasty warm, but dry. I plan on wearing them backpacking and suspect they will hold up to that use quite well. They do wear (as in they are already starting to look warn) quickly, but they also work great with my iPhone.

Comments about Marmot Connect Softshell Gloves - Men's:

I feel that I am a very good reviewer for two reasons.
      1. I test software for a living. 2. I have Aspegers which makes me very detail oriented.
I tried every touch sensitive glove in REI. These work with my Droid Razr Maxx HD about 95% of the time so I bought them despite being about $20 over priced.

They are NOT waterproof on the bottom. Only on the top. They quickly get saturated in rain or snow.

They are NOT warm gloves. Don't bother wearing them in temperatures under 38 degrees. Especially with wind.

I am still looking for the perfect combination of touch sensitivity and warmth.

Comments about Marmot Connect Softshell Gloves - Men's:

Very nice, elegant looking, tight fitting (if size is borderline, order up) glove. Not especially warm, so I think of it as an "about town" glove. Not the glove for playing around in the snow or weather much below freezing. Works fine with my iPhone. I really like them. As Advertised.

Comments about Marmot Connect Softshell Gloves - Men's:

First I must say I own the old pair of these before smartphone features. They were good enough for me to buy the newer upgraded pair. I used the old pair and now this pair with my Marmot Precip Shell Gloves for added warmth an waterproofing. The pluses to these verses the old is that the grip is much better as well smartphone capable. They also seam to be a bit thicker and even better constructed. The only downside and reason I upgraded was after doing task like cutting and carrying firewood I had wore a small hole the size of a dime in two places on one pair. One between the thumb and palm (sawing) and other on the side (throwing firewood down). They can be worn around to do task, just not the more strenuous task of cutting/sawing firewood or even carrying fire wood as it will ware then down as jagged edges tear into. I noticed heavy ware from cutting and hauling firewood after three or four times; not sure how long before holes appeared. The pluses far out weight the minuses as they feel an look really good on your hands and fit well. And mentioned they do seam thicker and better constructed in between the thumb and palm. Really it was my own fault for treating them too much like work gloves before on my older pair. I now know avoiding those heavy task that this pair will last much longer.
