Comments about Petzl Vertex Vent Climbing Helmet:

I bought this helmet for work as a tower climber, as I needed something that meets the Z89.1 hardhat standard. This is a significantly more stringent standard than the UIAA/CE climbing helmet standard, which explains why this is so much heavier than most other offerings. I've started using this helmet for rock climbing as well, just because it's both safer and more comfortable than my half dome.
