Comments about REI Minimalist Gloves - Men's - 2011 Overstock:
Used these a few times for hiking, and they're a pain to take off/put on when trying to get my hands free (especially with liner gloves under), and they make using a GPS (non-touch screen) tedious. The entry is narrow, so even if you don't have large hands, it's a pain to squeeze one's paws back in. On the plus side, they're relatively cheap and seem like they can take some abuse. They aren't extremely warm, but along with liners, are solid down to the 20s and mostly waterproof. I'll probably get a bit of use out of them, so they'll work for me, but I can't necessarily recommend them or not - just listing my experiences/views so others can make a more informed decision.
