My 7 yr old daughter switched to this from the Pink Cosmos, passed to younger sister. She has never complained once about the fit, hot or cold, weight, etc. The helmet couldn't be better and I highly recommend it. She used it on a 50 degree day and a 10 degree day and seemed perfectly happy about the helmet.

We bought these for our kids this season. The previous set up was the Giro ricochet that they had. That one was uncomfortable under the chin, was hard to adjust and the goggles were always foggy.
The Smith set up they have been using this season have been great. The goggles are staying clear. The chin strap is comfortable and fits snuggly under the chin. The tightner on the back makes sure it does not wiggle on the head.
One of our daughters got a hit from another person and it pulled the goggle clasp off. I was able to glue it back on with some hot glue. I think it would be nice to have gotten a few spare connectors for the goggles. The kids like how easy it is for them to put them on and take them off.
I have one thing that I would like to see to improve this model. I would like to see the vent have a slider to close it down when it is really cold out.
