This is the most fun board I've ever ridden (I have 164cm and I'm 6'2" 205lbs).

Previous boards: Burton Custom 169, Ride Yukon 168W, Arbor A-Frame 164, K2 Turbo Dream 161W.

I had been holding out on trying the mixed-camber board technology that got popular in the last few years because if it a'int broke, why fix it? My first non-traditional board was the K2 Turbo Dream and it really rode like a dream. It was floaty, fun and buttered well but lacked the speed, edge control, and pop that I was used to.

Enter the Billy Goat: This board is fast, you can feel the magnetraction bite to hold an edge, it switches edge-to-edge really quickly, it's stiff but still manual-able, and has really good pop for fun transitions and kickers littered around the mountain.

I don't ride park, it might not be a great board for that. If you like big mountain riding, charging hard, this board is for you. I've used it east coast both powder and icy days. I've used it in Colorado on powder days and hard-packed days. It just works and I love it.

My one and only complaint is that the topsheet is slippery. I haven't used a stomp pad in years and have never had problems before, but I almost ate it on this slippery topsheet. I might get a stomp pad, but the graphics are so pretty I'd have to find a decent clear one.

REI has great customer service. I ordered my board for in-store pickup. The estimated pickup date was 2 weeks out but they had it within a week and promptly called me to let me know.
