This is my daughter's 4th snow boot in her lifetime (she is 8y.o.). The past boots were purchased elsewhere and have been cheap, but no complaints. This is her first pair of Baffins, yet, my daughter appreciates the differences in these boots: - foam liner is comfy, snug to her feet and extra warm. She will spend hours in the snow and have no complaints.
I am giving only 4 stars because I think the boot should be taller just in case her snow bibs crept up above the top of the boot, and the one strap doesn't seem to tighten down on her foot easily (my complaint, not hers).
My two cents: I had a pair of Sorrels for 13 years with felt liners and my feet were always cold. Finally bought a new pair of Baffins two years ago which also have the foam liner like my daughter's...I love them. My feet are never cold, even when in the snow for hours at temps around 15 degrees F.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
