Comments about REI Trail Gaiters:
So I originally bought these to be added protection for recently upgraded Expensive Hiking boots. However after 18 miles on the Ouachita Trail another benefit emerged. I was the only one in our crew who did not get any ticks. So, not only are these very durable and comfortable, but they help keep you from other health hazards that you might not have thought of.

Comments about REI Trail Gaiters:
I've been using these gaiters for a few years now and have put quite a few miles on them. While they are a bit warm for summer use I absolutely love them for winter hikes or if it's muddy. They stay put better than anything else I've used before and keep me from becoming a muddy, pricker infested mess.

Comments about REI Trail Gaiters:
The velcro closures in the front make for easy getting off/on. And the hook in the front keeps the gators attached to your boots. I bought them for hiking and the have been holding up going through wet areas and brush. did not think they would work as well as they have been. will buy again if I need to.

Comments about REI Trail Gaiters:
I love these things! I've used these in the snow and the rain and they're well suited for both. Just went out this weekend and postholed knee deep into some mud. I took the gaiter off and washed it in a nearby creek and my pants were totally dry and clean(just a little mud got above the gaiters as I sunk in pretty deep)! Very comfortable as well.

Comments about REI Trail Gaiters:
These are my first pair of gaiters. I recently started snowshoeing and these have been keeping my feet and ankles dry. I never have to worry about my socks getting wet and uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend these to someone who is also new to snowshoeing, or even hiking (I'm from WA and it rains a lot over here), or to someone not looking to spend a lot on gaiters.

Comments about REI Trail Gaiters:
I've only used these gators a couple of times for snowshoeing. So far, they have met my expectation. I was looking for something to keep the snow from falling into the back of my mid-height winter boots. In the past, snow would get in and my feet would end up wet and cold. And...that's no fun!! The velcro closures in the front make for easy getting off/on. And the hook in the front keeps the gators attached to your boots.
Comments about REI Trail Gaiters:
I do not have big calves and was so worried about fit of any of the gators...but these things fit great. I had a hard time deciding but remembered that REI products have alway been good to me. It still holds true as these are good quality. I will use them for biking on my fat bike this winter.
