Personalize boot flex with removable tongue stiffeners; use both for maximum support, use just 1 to increase either lateral or medial response, or remove them entirely
Over the course of a season as your boots soften up or you decide you want to alter your comfort or support, add or change the tongue stiffeners around to inject new life
Vans Boa Focus lacing system personalizes the fit by allowing specific tightening across 3 separate zones: the upper, forefront and instep regions

When the upper boa in one of my 2010 Cirros finally gave out (boa lifetime warranty covered the part) I decided to go with the 2013's while waiting for parts for my broken boot. I'm glad I did. They feel great and have even more adjustability than previous ones. These are a great all around boot. Whether you hit the backcountry or the park you will not be disappointed.
