Rated5out of5byShow me the TrailfromI love it!I love how lightweight yet warm this jacket is. (I live in Chgo.) It doesn't even feel like you have anything on. So if you're a minimalist, you'll really like it. Also, the sleeves are nice and long, but not too long. Other than wanting an inside pocket for it to fold into, I'm happy. I can finally stop looking for a coat.

Rated5out of5bysaraaahhhhfromgreat fit for smaller framesLast night in the store I tried out this jacket and the Patagonia Down Sweater. I'm an XS (5'2", 107 lbs) and the XS Sierra Designs fit perfect. The XS Patagonia was a bit bigger, but especially so in the shoulders/upper arms and Patagonia's sleeves were slightly longer but with no thumb holes (which made them too long for me). The fill weight on the Sierra Designs is 73g, Patagonia's is 80g.

Rated5out of5byKatastrophe528fromI may sleep in this jacket indoors!I caught this coat on sale, I can't tell you what a happy day that was! I was so excited I wore it outside even though it was warm! I was attracted to this coat because of the color. The purple color is so vibrant and deep, I have received several compliments on it. I needed a thinner down jacket because one that I have is very bulky.
This jacket is super awesome. The only thing I would add is a removable hood. It is super light. I can barely feel the weight on me and it packs down so small it can be stuffed anywhere. You can feel the heat as soon as you put it on. I feel so snug when I wear this. Depending upon the weather I will wear my fuzzy fleece under it. The jacket is not tight when I do that and I can move around easily. It is true to size and feels wonderful. I LOVE the thumb hooks so much! The pockets are in a good position and the zippers are a breeze. I have not been in a downpour, but it has gotten wet and I didn't have any issues with that. I love this jacket!!!! It will be the brand and style I go after for years to come.

Rated5out of5byK backpack loverfromLove thisI haven't found all the uses for this yet as I just bought it. It was great for XC skiing and was very light and packable when I warmed up. The purple color is very attractive and though the sleeves are fashionable slim they are roomy enough for two layers.

Rated4out of5bySitka SailorfromI love this coat!I wanted a down sweater that I could wear alone and also under my waterproof shell as a mid layer. This coat is perfect--adding a lot of warmth with almost no bulk and nearly no weight. I have worn it nearly everyday since purchasing it a month ago. I am warmer and happier now.

Rated5out of5byTifffromSierra Designs Gnar Lite Down JacketI bought this jacket because I needed a jacket that would pack down really small, but keep me warm too. It's so lightweight I was afraid I would be cold wearing it with just my base layer and a simple vest, but it kept me warm. I was a little cold when I wasn't moving, but other than that the jacket is awesome. It was also very windy that day too.
