Comments about Brooks Playground Jacket - Women's - 2011 Closeout:
I wore this jacket all winter for all of my training runs. I run cold, but even I could not wear this jacket when it was over 45 degrees. Even in the teens (and I am ALWAYS cold in real life) I was comfortable running in only long sleeved shirt and this jacket. The sleeves are long and the thumb holes work perfectly; I never needed gloves. The two zipped pockets worked great for my phone and fuel/gummi bears on long runs.
Two small complaints; the media pocket was too small for my phone (I used the side pocket on shorter runs) so I never got to try out the headphone cord holder. The neck is too tight for me; I can stand it when its cold, but I'd love a looser neck like my Patagonia fleece. On long runs I'd unzip the jacket and fold in the neck to keep it from flapping around.
In all, this is a great jacket to keep you comfortable running in the (mild, 45-10 degree) winter. I'd buy it again (especially if there were snaps to tie down the unzipped jacket neckline)
