Rated4out of5byMountaineer Chadfromworks well for meI have done tons of skiing, but I've only done 4 days of snowboarding so my review may not be overly meaningful. However, I thought the lacing system was easy to use, durable, and easily repairable. I did not actually need to do any repairs, but the instructions on the Burton web site made it seem easy enough if you have ever tied any fishing knots. The boots were fairly comfy, warm, and easy to walk in. I wear a size 12, my board is way too small for me, and I never had a problem with toe or heel drag. I would give the boot a 5 star rating, but I think liking my first non-rental boot ever after a mere two days of use for a total noob like me does not merit a 5 star rating.

Rated1out of5byNeal BfromTerrible Lacing SystemI bought a pair of these and after the first day on the mountain I noticed very bad wear on the right boot on the lower lacing system. It looked like the lace was about to rip out of the boot. I took them back to REI and got a brand new pair. This was the end of the season so I didn't get to use them til the next year when I noticed the exact same thing happening after day 1. Well I figured there was nothing I could do since they were like a year old so I kept using them. The lace completely tore out of the lower boot after 3 days of use. REI was awesome and gave me a full refund but I would NEVER BUY these boots again.

Rated1out of5bycatinofromDifficult to unlaceSpeed lace system is difficult to release. It is not a good boot for big feet. I will be returning them.
