    I bought two of these bags - one for me and one for my boyfriend. On our very first trip both of the shoulder straps broke off in transport. I understand that airline handlers aren't the most careful with baggage, but the fact that both shoulder straps broke off on both bags suggests to me that the quality of hardware is lacking.

    The bag itself is great. It has a large capacity and the design is nice. I would recommend that if you plan to use this bag for travel that you remove the shoulder strap and tuck it inside before checking your bag. Adjusting the strap so that it is shorter is not sufficient to protect it.
