    I bought these for snowshoeing and snow camping in the Northern Sierra. They proved to be warm and a good fit for my snowshoes (the groove at the heel holds the snowshoe strap nicely). The toe box is roomy, allowing your feet to take advantage of the toasty air inside the boot. The boot did not freeze overnight. The heel is snug. My only complaint is that the top of the boot, above the ankle, rubs against the side of my leg; I have used a piece of sheepskin to cushion the area, which helps.
