This is a highly detailed/constructed jacket made with the wonderful Gore-tex "Soft Shell" fabric (with a nice, lightly insulating, brushed inner layer).

It has lots of storage features: four outer pockets (one on the forearm), and three inner pockets (including two mesh "stow it" types). It has several other nice features that you don't normally see in a top-end Goretex jacket: a removable hood, a ski pass sleeve just outside the snow skirt, and huge chest to hip ventilation zips.

On the negative side is that those huge ventilation zips cut into the area where the inner and outer chest pockets are located, so they are oddly shaped and very small (getting an iPhone in and out is nearly impossible and this would be the place to keep something like an iPhone).

The jacket's fit was also a problem. It's quite baggy - I am 5'-6" with a 37" chest and 30" waist and a size small was very long (below my crotch) and with enough chest area for two down jackets underneath. OK so maybe the fit is "snowboarder" stylish.

The real fit issue was the sleeves. They are so long that they came down past my fingertips. This, coupled with enough volume to fit two of my arms in each sleeve, meant that with gloves on the sleeves looked like "pantaloons" - I was concerned that all this extra material would get snagged on every possible branch.

I returned it wondering why it seemed to be made to fit someone with Orangatang arms...oh well!
