I got this for one- to two-week trips into the field for work in television production. I was looking for a medium-sized piece of luggage that was big enough to check but no so big it was cumbersome to wheel and carry and throw in and out of vehicles on the fly.
This piece fits the bill perfectly. It's rugged enough for field abuse and international travel but stylish enough for business trips. It stands upright reliably. The wheels are beefy and instill confidence that you can take this piece anywhere.
It is an extremely well thought out suitcase. The pack strap capability makes it super versatile and I like that you can remove the straps and use the remaining space for extra cargo. The daypack is a real bonus. It's sleek and nicely designed, with just the right combination of padded and zippered compartments. It's slim enough to easily slide under an airplane seat but big enough to carry a laptop, books, files, snacks, water and other necessaries.
If there are any cons it is that the top of the luggage is rounded and sloping, so that it's hard to perch a carry-on on top of it. And if you are looking for something that isn't going to crush or wrinkle a suit or dress, it won't offer the same kind of protection as a squared off hard-sided suitcase. But if you're looking at something like this you probably aren't worried about that.

Wish I had purchased this years ago. Truly worth the cost. Feels light to pull when fully packed. Great inside space. I love that it can be carried as a backpack. Really well made and designed.

I had my first Osprey pack for 20 years and when I was getting ready for another large trip this was an easy choice. The wheel system is smooth. The backpack feature isn't a gimmick and actually works well. I like the removable daypack and use it often. It is a great item

I used this product on a trip that took me through India and Europe. It held up great. It is well-constructed and designed. The wheels easily absorbed the cobble stone roads of European cities. The backpack harness is comfortable. The materials endured the abuse from baggage handlers. The rust color makes it easy to see from a distance.
I have a few minor complaints. I wish the daypack was a little larger. I also wish the daypack's attachment zipper was beefier. I had no problems, but am unsure how strong this zipper is. When the main pack is full, it is difficult to attach the daypack and the attachment zipper is stressed. You may need to rely on the three attachment buckles instead, and they work great.
Inside the main pack is a little smaller than I expected. It has nice compartments for organizing things. Materials are top-notch.
My complaints are nit-picking. This is a very, very good pack. I have not seen a better one in this segment.
