  • Nylon taffeta shell lining wicks moisture, dries quickly and holds its shape over layers

              I had been looking for a new winter coat for some time and was dissapointed that XL North Face's and Columbia's had a tendency to be too snug for slightly hippy/shapely women. I saw this was plus size and ordered a 1x. The fit is perfect. It is similiar size to an XL but adds that inch or too needed for a little bit of a shape. It is warm and waterproof and I am very happy with it.

                  I've had this jacket for over a year now. I'm glad that REI offers this jacket in plus sizes - its a solid winter jacket for winter sports as well as around town. I wear as my main winter jacket. I wear the shell and fleece individually year-round. After more than a year of use and several washings, the shell has lost its waterproofness. Bummer. However, it was 100% waterproof for a solid year with several washings - pretty good! Will still wear as a winter jacket, but now I'm shopping for a new rain coat.
