The North Face Kapwall insulated jacket is a prime choice for snowy mountain descents. It boasts a warm interior and a water-repellent exterior.

  • Fully taped seams create the ultimate seal against wind and snow
  • PrimaLoft® Eco insulation is an ultra-thin synthetic fill that minimizes weight and bulkiness, and is warm even if damp (60g in body/40g in hood)
  • Jacket features an adjustable, helmet-compatible hood that cinches down over helmet to keep your noggin' warm
  • Features zippered handwarmer pockets, zippered internal media pocket, and an internal utility pocket
  • Polyurethane zip chest pocket lets you stash a few small essentials; bicep accessory pocket includes goggles cloth
  • Polyurethane zippered underarm vents let you quickly control core temperature, expelling excess body heat as needed during high activity
  • Adjustable hem system and rip-and-stick cuffs dial down the fit and retain valuable warmth

I used this jacker snowboarding with only a t-shirt and underarmor shirt underneath and was perfectly warm all day long. The Primaloft works wonders to keep you warm without bulk. The only reason I gave the jacket 4 stars is the zipper gets stuck towards the top and the North Face logos wore off the jacket early on. REI allowed me to swap the jacket, but the zipper still sticks on the 2nd jacket.
