Mountain Hardwear Embolden Jacket - Men'sis rated4.3333out of5by6.
Rated4out of5byfromsolidPretty much one of my favorite shells. flexible, yet wind resistant and so far enough DWR to keep me dry in moderate rain. Not as thick as other soft shells which I like because it doesnt feel too bulky. The wind resistance and (very) thin fleece liner make it warm enough to wear all winter with temps around the mid 30's. Constantly receive comments on the look as well, and grateful that its not as common of a style like North Face. Only complaint is the size L was too big, and the M is very snug. Neck opening was a bit tight on both and with the high zipper can become bothersome. I am medium build around 6 feet tall and land in between sizes. A medium tall would be amazing but not provided by mountain hardwear of course. Overall one of my favorite jackets for everyday wear as well as for runs around the backwoods in chilly wet conditions. Have not pushed the jacket to perform in extreme conditions, but appears very durable and would take it anywhere.

Rated4out of5byfromWinter BWCAW Tested, PassesBWCAW winter camping, ideal jacket, it's fantastic! It's light weight and perfect for when the wind picks up in the middle of a large frozen lake. The adjustments on the hood are more then sufficient. What sold me on this jacket are it's HUGE pockets, perfect for holding liner gloves warm mittens and bulky outer mittens. Left chest pocket is great for keeping my lighter warm. It's not water proof, but when the weather ranges from 20 to -35 it's a great outer layer over a down "town" The jacket.

Rated4out of5byfromThe perfect all-purpose jacket!I have an athletic built and this jacket fits me perfectly. I checked 'breathable' as a Pro and a Con. Pro because it does breathe. Con because it does not when you are seated (like in a car). It also lacks arm vents that I'd expect in a jacket that costs this much. However, overall, this jacket has replaced two of my jackets.

Rated5out of5byfromGreat overall jacketGreat overall jacket for wear to work, gym, light to medium intensity outdoor activities. Great fit - fitted, but not too fitted that you can't add baselayers.

Rated5out of5byfromSurprisingly WarmI own many fleece jackets and I'm amazed how much warmer this jacket is than any of them. Its good for just about any conditions. I much preferred the cuffs on a previous jacket where it was just slightly strethcy, rathern than velcro. Nonetheless if you can afford it, this jacket is awesome.

Rated4out of5byfromDid it's job and looks good tooTested this jacket in a stormy day with 30mph sustained winds and loved how it performed. Excellent adjustability in the hood and waist area. Breathed well enough in 50 degree weather on a multipitch route but the hand pockets are a bit too low to use with a harness (but there is an excellent chest pocket). Was definitely a bit thinner than what I was expecting but it works perfectly for layering. I am 5'8 and 140lbs, medium fit me perfectly.
