        I'm not sure how long these will hold up, but I've had them on for the last 4 days. Nothing tortuous like the PCT; just been wearing them as my daily socks. Couple of bike rides, runs to the store, picking the kid up from school. Every time I slip them on, my feet sigh like happy little lambs. . .which makes sense, cause these are made of wool. They don't smell like barnyard lambs either after all this wear, which is pretty cool.

        I can't speak to how long they will last (especially if I'm wearing them this much) but I can say these are sublimely comfortable and fit well. They cost too much (i'm more of a 3 pack of socks for ten dollars guy) but if they hold up, they are worth it.

          SmartWool PhD socks are hands (feet) down my favorite socks, regardless of the specific configuration of the sock. They wear well, stay soft, and are very comfortable. These particular ones are especially great for any activities when wearing shorts.
