The jacket has a comfortable athletic fit and provided a good balance of warmth and breathability. However, pills formed near the pockets when worn for only a few days around the house and once under a smooth-lined insulated jacket.

This is a beautiful jacket (with great tall fit and colors) but it pilled upon the first wearing. I wore it underneath a jacket with a silky-smooth lining so the pilling was a surprise. I wouldn't wear it underneath anything now nor would I use it with a backpack. It's far too delicate for any friction.

Perhaps it would be fine for casual use with no overcoat and no backpack.
