Comments about REI Greenlake Microfleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I first ordered the REI petite small Greenlake fleece pants, because I had purchased a similar product over five years before that no longer existed. Those fit perfectly, so I jumped at a chance to buy them on sale. They chafed and bound and fit too snugly. I even tried on my old ones to compare and the fit was just different. So, I returned the smalls and bought a medium. They don't stay up, which makes them drag in the fanny! I do like the side zipper pockets, but my old ones had a split at the hem, which made putting them on over slippers, sneakers, etc., easier. The fabric is great, the pockets are great, the length is fine; they just won't stay up!
I would like to return them, but it is a lot of hassle.

Comments about REI Greenlake Microfleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I bought this to travel on a casual trip to the Pacific Northwest. These pants are the best investment I ever made. They kept me warm without the bulk and I didn't have to layer underneath them! I wear them all the time now. They are my "winter jeans".

Comments about REI Greenlake Microfleece Pants - Women's Petite:
These REI fleece pants have the same feel and look at the North Face brand fleece pants. I am 5'2" and petite size fits me perfectly. I would still not suggest buying the REI brand fleece pants even though they are cheaper. There's no stretch in the waistband and no drawstring. If you have hips you will have to wiggle the pants on and off and hope you don't tear the seams. If you buy a size larger you don't have to do the wiggling, but your pants will fall down.

Comments about REI Greenlake Microfleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I ordered this when the weather for our trekking trip looked colder than expected. These pants are lightweight, look good on their own, and can still be layered under rain gear or trekking pants for warmth. Since I wanted to layer, I got the petite rather than regular, which had a long inseam for me. The fit/function isn't as good as I'd hoped -- the material is not as stretchy as other fleece pants (feels unexpectedly restrictive) and the rise is a bit low. I'm still on the fence about whether to return or keep for the fall weather.
