Comments about Obermeyer Delaney Insulated Jacket - Women's:
This is my second Obermeyer jacket and I love it. I am a size 2 but with Obermeyer size 4 jackets fit perfectly. I got the teal color, nice but I would have preferred a brighter color since I bought it as a ski jacket. I don't like hard and noisy jackets, this one is really soft and feels great. It kept me warm and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like are the main side pockets. They were really small, should have been deeper. I would highly recommend this jacket and wish that Obermeyer makes them in nice bright colors as well.

Comments about Obermeyer Delaney Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I used this coat for a week of skiing in snowy and sunny conditions in the Rockies. The hood is not very large and barely covers your head unless you use the draw string. If you wear your hair up it won't cover your head at all especially if you have long or lots of hair. Also, the hood doesn't lay closed when not in use so it catches rain and snow.
Previously I have skied in in a 3 and 1 but wanted to try something less bulky and a little stylish for non-ski nights on the town. You sacrifice syle for function with this jacket. There were also fewer and smaller pockets than I am used to having. The inside net pocket needs two hands to open and close it. Not very user friendly when trying to get items out while sking.
The breast pocket on the outside is on the same side as the inside pocket. As a woman if you have items in both pockets you look lopsided (one side flat). Not a flattering look. The pockets are small which means less storage space, less space to store a hat, small camera or a couple of snacks for the slopes.
I was also colder in this jacket than my 3 and 1 so I bought an extra fleece to wear with it which adds to the bulk and makes it difficult to remove or put on the jacket. If you think you will wear a fleece most of the time with the jacket because you are cold natured than get the 3 and 1 because it is designed for an additional layer with the proper closers and fabric for adverse weather.
The sleeves around the wrist are large and there is not a way to adjust the opening to keep snow out of them but it does have a lining to help snow from getting too far up the sleeve. I have small wrist and like to adjust the sleeve openings.
If you ski in adverse conditions below 20degrees and you may be cold natured I wouldn't recommend the jacket. It just doesn't have the function and warmth. If you ski in great sunny conditions then this may work for you.
I do like that it flatters the waist. The fabric is nice because it gives you smooth lines and flatters the body. Not as bulky looking.

Comments about Obermeyer Delaney Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I love this jacket! It's easily one the most stylish insulated jackets I've found. It's comfortable, fits well, and isn't bulky but keeps you warm (although so far I haven't worn it at below freezing temperatures). It feels breathable and well ventilated.
The thumbholes help keep hands warm and prevent drafts up the sleeves. The detachable cloth is very useful for wiping rain off glasses. I also really like the interior hem (keeps the jacket in place when moving around) and key holder. Good features.
My biggest complaint is that when I wear the jacket in the rain, it seems to be soaking up some water instead of repelling it at the surface. I'm still dry inside, but I worry that the jacket has absorbed a lot of water and will take longer to dry. Also, the hood is a little short and my face sometimes gets rained on.
Overall though, highly recommended! particularly if you live somewhere with less rain then Seattle.
