- Jacket packs into its own interior lumbar pocket to become a convenient neck pillow for use during lightweight travel and backpacking
- Polyester shell is treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish to repel moisture and stains
- Opti-Warm™ synthetic insulation (100g in body, 60g in sleeves) keeps you toasty on adventures, and retains warmth even when wet
- Taffeta lining with satin piping slides easily over layers
- High collar offers protection for your neck and face from the cold; soft chin guard prevents unpleasant chafing
- Features N.A.D.A.™ (Not Any Dye Applied)—all the same technical performance but without the use of chemical fabric dyes

I bought this in white...yes white and it is AWESOME! I get a ton of compliments and it's easy to care for. Having two young kids on the go I needed a jacket, but nothing bulky. This fit the bill!. As for size, I ordered the XL, sleeves are long, room in the chest, nice deep pockets. This was my first purchase with REI and I am very happy.

I purchased this to wear underneath a waterproof shell for my trip to Patagonia, and it definitely was put to good use when temperatures rapidly plummeted and winds picked up. The inside of the pockets are SO cozy - lined with fleece - that I loved to stick my hands in them if I didn't have gloves on. Also the jacket compresses well to be packed away easily.

This jackey exceeded my expectations from them moment I took it out of the box. Has all the functionality of the puffy jackets but with a lot more style, classy and flattering.
Beautiful lining material and elastice cuffs, plus slight flare at bottom of jacket add to the special look. Is toasty warm but also breatheable.
Two side zip pockets plus insize chest pocket Unexpected zip pocket along inside back allow a little extra gear but is shaped like a neck pillow. Jacket folds up into this pocket to create a neck pillow - very innovative and easy - and the pillow pocket is fleece so is very warm. Great for travel or to condense for packing. After unpacking from pillow, jacket is still wrinkle free.
Love this jacket and would buy it in more colors if available. But black is great. Am a big fan of Merrill shoes and now their apparel too.

I really like this jacket, and I love that it's packable. But I disagree with the previous reviewer in that I think this does fit true to size. I'm a M (5'8", 140 lbs., 36D) and I ordered a L based on the other review but it was too big for me. Consider ordering your normal size. You will love this jacket.

This jacket is extremely comfortable. Love the exterior fabric and the color. Appreciate the soft cuffs: no velcro and great fit (similar to the Arcteryx Atom LT cuff). The zipper works well, but may not be windproof since there is no flap over it. I had to return the size which should have fit me according to the size chart for the next size up. REI shipping (glad it is free right now) is very fast, across the country. This would be a totally perfect jacket for me if it had a hood....
