I didn't think I liked these shorts at first but in comparing them to my others--they are fabulous. I have no discomfort in the usual areas. I have bought 2 more pair. Give them more than one ride would be my suggestion.

I ride 30-60 mile rides several times a week. These shorts are fantastic. They fit well (I am a larger rider) and are comfortable. The fabric is very smooth, and the grippers do not pull on my skin. The little extra pocket occasionally comes in handy for my keys.

Very strange. The first ride in these shorts was fine - 20 miles. The second ride was so unbearable I had to call somebody to pick me up 10 miles out. If you take a close look at the fabric from the inside, you'll notice that when the fabric stretches, it takes on a ribbed character. And when I say ribbed, I mean like a metal nail file. So just on either side of the chamois, an area of constant movement and stretching, the shorts literally filed my skin off. No kidding. I'm wondering if this is because the washing after the very first wear caused them to loosen up a bit. I've never had this experience with any other bike shorts. Very sad, because I've also never paid this much for road shorts.

Right amount of padding in chamois, and the fabric is really breathable, perfect for long hot rides.

There's a little pocket large enough for some cash, and ID and a credit card in the leg.

There's a seam on chamois that seemed to rub me a little bit, but a little cream on that spot solved the problem.

Fits true to normal size.

These are my go-to shorts for long rides. I've found the overall fit and the chamois to be the most comfortable of all my pairs of shorts. I've been wearing the heck out of these for the past couple of years and they have yet to age, so that's pretty good. Buying a second pair because I'm afraid of not always having one. My only gripe is that I wish they were as breathable as my Sugoi RS shorts.
