Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:
I loved my old style five fingers. I wore them every day for two years until they wore out, so I decided to buy a new pair.
They changed the style though. Mine had two adjustable velcro straps on the heel of the foot that adjusted independently of the top strap that adjusts the shoe. These allowed me to adjust the shoes in such a way so that my toes would not touch the front of the shoes.
In the new version, the hill does not adjust independently. Instead, one velcro strap does all the adjusting. As you tighten that strap, it also tightens the heels. I have thin feet, so I need to tighten the shoe so that it is not loose, but since I have no control on how much the heels are tighten, I end up feeling claustrophobic because my foot is pushed against the front of the shoe. My toes can't take the rubbing. They hurt. As much as I wanted to get new shoes, I had to return them. I hope they bring back the old version. I would buy them again.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:
I purchased these from an REI outlet sale. I have 4 other pairs of Vibrams, but I thought I'd give the KSOs (Keep Stuff Out!) a try. I can definitely see their purpose, but they just weren't for me. My feet felt choked by how high the fabric went. I can see how they'd be great for swimming along rocky beaches, etc., and if I ever need a pair for that purpose, I'd buy them again. Returned them because sadly, there are no rocky beaches in my near future. The shoes are siped on the bottom (like wet weather tires), and gave me traction I didn't know I could have on hardwood floors.
Re: the person who says "THESE SHOULD NOT BE WORN FOR RUNNING ANY LENGTHY AMOUNT OF TIME!"-- that's an overgeneralization and untrue. I have only run in Vibrams for the past 2 1/2 years. I run 5 miles/day, compete in races routinely (including half marathons), and have never had a single Vibram related injury. Just because they didn't work for you doesn't mean they won't for someone else.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:
Was rather disappointed with these. I own a pair of the TrekSport Multisport Vibrams size 37 and absolutely love them, but wanted something for everyday wear for walking and work. So i bought these in a size 37. I wore them to work one day (I sit at a desk a majority of the day) and ended up with blisters by the end of the day. Such a bummer!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:
i've always seen these ugly shoes at the gym and never understood why i kept seeing men in them lol. well sure enough my sister ordered herself and myself a pair and so far i love them. i immediately noticed a difference while working out. they are lighter than tennis shoes. considering that i do intense workouts they are perfect. i like that my toes have the control rather than the shoes having the control. i highly recommend these to anyone. these pair of five fingers do not have thick sole so i don't suggest anyone trying to go jogging or trekking in them. i just ordered me a pair of the kso treks to go jogging in. and i'll probably use it for hiking and trails aswell.

These are really great shoes, but I am limited to wearing only men's styles, because #42 is too small for me.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:
Vibrams are my favorite for minimalist running, and I've pretty much replaced "normal" tennis/athletic shoes with Vibrams most of the time. These are a great shoe, plenty of room, good overall foot coverage. Like most Vibrams though, if you need a lot of arch support or heavy duty orthotic help, these are not gonna be the shoes for you.
Service and delivery comments:
REI provides great service, I used ship-to-store and was able to pick up the shoes after only 2 days.

Took a little while to get used to them especially around the toes at first, but once I did, they have proven to be great at the beach, washing the car, hiking in slippery areas, use around the pool.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:
I bought these shoes after my husband fell in love with his- almost a year ago. I had a new baby at home and was coaching, so the shoes didn't seem to fit my lifestyle at the time. How wrong I was. I am now 35 weeks pregnant and wish I had bought these long ago. They are perfect for working out and wearing during travel since they swell and shrink with my feet. I can wear them in the rain, hiking on the mountains and trails, and I run quick errands. They have quickly become the only pair of shoes I want to wear and I don't have trouble with drying time. The rubber on the two baby toes of each foot seemed separated from the shoe on both feet when I got them in the mail, but after wearing them a couple times, I realize it may be made that way so that it fits securely to the toe without pulling on the rubber anywhere. It hasn't caused any problems and they feel and function perfectly.
