Rated5out of5byRuss Wfromgreat product for hiking and outdoorsBackpacked two days in Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo, Texas in March. I wanted a versatile, breathable but warm pair of pants that would work in highs in the 80s but give me comfort when evening/morning temps dipped down into 40s. The pants worked great, look good, and are supremely comfortable. The legs don't zip off, but I have a very lightweight pair of those pants. I needed something that works better in cooler fall and spring weather.

Rated4out of5byPinchot HikerfromGood for hiking the shoulder seasonsThese fill the perfect place in my hiking wardrobe that are warmer and more water resistant than my summer Sahara pants but not too hot for spring & fall hiking. Very comfortable to wear and do not restrict my stride on steep trails. I would prefer if the back pockets secured with velcro or buttons or flaps though.

Rated2out of5byPatInTheHatfromInconsistent fitAfter purchasing these pants and being delighted with the fit and performance, I ordered two more pairs. I was very disappointed to find that the fit varied considerably from one to the other, despite all being labeled with the same size and cut. The waist and inseam were fine, but the additional pants purchased were much more baggy in the seat and legs. Laying them out flat one on top of the other revealed that the 2nd and 3rd pair had more than two inches of additional girth in the seat and pant legs. I returned them with no hassles.
