by fromSatisfied The only con to this rack is even though it seems sturdy when installed it does some shacking once you have your bikes on and headed down the road.

by fromGreat Bike Rack A very good bike rack. Assambled & intalled it myself in minutes oustide the REI store after purchase. Mine was missing a small part (safety pin) but REI personal helped me out and imediatelly got me the missing part. Have used it on my XTerra with a 2" Hitch to carry up to 3 bikes, and have had no problems during transport. The plastic straps are hard to deal with at first but you get the hang of it soon enough. It´s a little heavy but overall a great product.

by fromFirst Trailer Hitch Rack Full suspension mountain bikes, no problem. Hardtail mountain bikes, no problem. Currently, I've only hauled two bikes on this rack, and I have to say it's a great addition to my truck. Looks and performs great.Bikes are firmly secured, fitting like puzzle pieces to prevent swaying of handlebars. There's peace of mind when you're driving backcountry roads. Also, you can't beat a bottle opener at the end of each rack post.Unlike the SwingDaddy, you have to take the bikes off the rack if you want access to your back door on your hatchback/SUV or the tailgate on your truck. But, that's a minor inconvenience considering the price of the SwingDaddy ($479) compared to the DoubleDown [$]

by fromGreat 4-Biker Bought this to replace a strap-on bike rack, and what a difference. It's stable (doesn't shake around a lot). You've got to attach the bikes properly or else they will shift. Using it for recreational weekend bike trips and love it.

by fromEase of folding down arms = more stars I bought this rack to replace a 10 year old Yak rack that fit 2 bikes. The old rack still works just fine so I'm going this 4-bike rack a + for durability even though I just bought it based on the quality of the older rack. Yakima has made some great improvements in this rack, the ease with which you can tilt the main mast is really nice, same with the fold down rack arms themselves. The old rack had an inconvenient spring clip/pin set-up, the new style is great. Fitting 4 bikes on any rack is not all that easy, I mean there's only so much room to work with, but it worked for me.

by fromGreat bike rack We've used this bike rack around town and on a 2000 mile road trip. I was very happy with it. My only issue with it is it was not easy to get my kids' bikes on there since they are smaller bikes. The adult bikes were easy to put on.
