      I received this shirt in black and grey as a Christmas gift. I loved it so much that I bought another one in navy and bright blue. I have used the Mountain Hardware Transition T half zip for more than a decade, but I couldn't wear it out. Since they don't make the Transition T anymore, I contacted Mountain Hardware to find out if anything replaced it -- they said the Effusion was the closest replacement. While the Effusion isn't quite as windproof, waterproof, warm, or durable as the Transition T, it is still a great shirt, and the added bonus is that the Effusion also works well for casual wear.

        I received this shirt in black and grey as a Christmas gift, and I loved it so much that I bought the shirt in navy blue and bright blue. I still have the Mountain Hardware Transition T, which was really the most amazing technical garment that I have ever used. Mountain Hardware doesn't make it anymore, and they said the Effusion is the closest replacement. While the Effusion isn't quite as warm, wind resistant, or water resistant as the Transition T, it is still a great shirt. The advantage of the Effusion is that it looks great and can be worn stylishly around town.
