Rated5out of5byKubbeeeefromLove these versatile Pants!Love these pants. Have two pairs in the cigar and shark color. I wear them to school, to bars, when I travel and anywhere I have to go that allows me to wear them. Unless I have to wear a suit (a drag). These are great fit, super stretchy and high quality. Ive washed them numerous times and they still look like new. One of my pet peeves though is that it feels like they changed the sizing. Im a 31 and wear a 32 but I had to by my second pair (1 yr later) a size 30. These also will not stretch out. When I say stretchy they stretch and return to the shape allowing space when you squat down. Very true to the first fit when you wear them so go along those guidelines when buying. I like the hidden side pocket, its very deep and is nice to keep a cell phone in there since the actual side pockets are kind of shallow and your phone can fall out. Overall great, I love them and my friend whom I have a rivalry with for cool REI stuff is jealous I got these first.

Rated3out of5byswimjimswimfromGreat pants. Beware color description.Great pants. Beware color description. Shark is much lighter than the photo indicates. REI is slipping on online descriptions. Five stars for pants. No stars for second trip to my local REI to return pants for a different color.

Rated4out of5byFCMDfromcomfortablesuper comfortable lightweight pants. very nice fit and feel. my only issues are the pockets. front pockets are too small, back pockets too big. the back pockets feel like things may fall out if you are not careful, they are bit too loose for me. Just doesn't feel secure, unless you are stuffing them with a lot of things, which they do hold A LOT. Camera lens, map, water bottle, book, they all fit. Front pockets are just too short, if they were a bit longer and could hold more, then these pants would be perfect. even with those issues, these are probably the most comfortable pants i own.

Rated5out of5byanon 4234fromExcellenceI loved these so much I bought 3 pairs. There was also a nice gray color available. Although they might not be made for climbing, I often find myself wearing these straight from the office to the climbing gym. There's just enough stretch and coverage to make them an excellent fit for climbing. They also held up well on multi-day camping trips. They are a little bit slimmer than a regular fit.
* They do have some cotton, so don't expect these to air-dry overnight.
* Pockets are not very deep, but I haven't had any problems losing items.
* There is a zippered pocket for a passport, but it is low on the thigh, so I don't find it all that useful.
* There are reinforced areas of the fabric that create unusual stich lines, but it is hard to notice unless you are wearing them.
+ Forgiving waist size
I hope they keep making them, as I don't want to bother finding another pair of pants.
