      I bought this jacket for my son, who was in need of a shell jacket, with light insulation. I bought it big for him so he still has room to grow. Great jacket for the price. My only concern is that the shell material feels flimsy (why I gave 4 out of 5). When hiking/camping/skiing I am concerned that it might tear easily especially since my son is 10. It's lightweight, comfortable, isn't crinkly, and he doesn't mind wearing it to school! So far no issues.

        I have purchased these jackets three years in a row now. My boys love them. They are super light weight, but keep the boys warm. The hood fits close to keep the wind and rain out and the velcro at the sleeves is perfect for my little guy (5 yr).
        I will say, previous years seemed fuller, so we will see how this year's version compares.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
