Comments about Old Town Vashon Tandem Kayak:

I have wanted my own kayak for about 10 years but could never justify the cost for a good one. This year I finally had enough saved in dividends to make the kayak affordable. It's been worth the wait and every penny spent. We have a 5 yr old son that fits perfectly in front of mom. He likes to sit facing me and facing forward. We gave him a small fish tank size net to try and scoop stuff up because he also wanted a paddle. I have lots of issues with my low back and these seats adjust in height perfect for me and after many hours on the water it's not my back that aches thankfully. The only issue we have had is hauling it on the J hooks when the wind is strong from the sides. The tandem is pretty long and wants to bend in the wind. We may return the J hooks and get the pads to haul it flat on its bottom. Hours and hours of family fun will be had in our kayak.
