Comments about Werner Fiji Adjustable Stand Up Paddle - 2 Piece:
We got a paddleboard last year, nothing too fancy but we love it. Anyway we wanted to get this paddle as it seems to be the best for our needs...the casual afternoon paddle or weekend adventure. We got the middle sized adjustable version 73-80.5" I believe, because there would be multiple people using it, and we understand that the paddle should be a specific height to the user...
After a season of use...and some abuse, it has held up great! A few scuffs on the blade, but thats expected when you live in the Rockies. Everything is good with it, and have had NO issues with it at all.
Best of all the paddle is Made in WA, USA. Can't beat it.

Comments about Werner Fiji Adjustable Stand Up Paddle - 2 Piece:
I bought this paddle to help me figure out how a long a paddle I needed for the waters I paddle in. It was convenient being able to adjust the length on the fly. That said the limitations of this paddle became apparent when I went out with some friends and found them paddling away from me with every stroke (despite my being on a faster board). At first I thought it was my technique but then I borrowed a Werner Nitro and it was clear that it was the paddle. I've always been deeply skeptical of performance gains being attributed to equipment - I raced bicycles enough years to know it's the rider, not the bike that always wins (but good luck telling that to some people!) Still, I was blown away at how much more distance I got out of each stroke with a better paddle. I made several runs in a glassy smooth marina to test the two side by side. When I plant the Fiji I can really feel the blade flex while the Nitro turns all my energy into forward motion. This becomes especially noticeable in a headwind. All that said, this isn't a bad paddle. If you just want to paddle for fun and don't care about how fast you're going this paddle is a great bargain, especially considering it's made in the USA. The adjustable size is also nice if you feel like you can't decide on an ideal length or you plan to share the paddle.
