Comments about Seattle Sports Hydrotransit 1200 Dry Pack - 20 Liters - Special Buy:

I was flying to meet friends and we planned a short kayak outing. I didn't know if there would be any tie-downs on the rental kayak, so when I saw this dry bag with shoulder straps, I gave it a try. I carried it on the plane and it held my PFD, Kindle and a few other extras for the flight. It also has side pockets to carry a water bottle. It worked great on the kayak too - I just had some carabiners to attach it to the seat straps and off we went.

Comments about Seattle Sports Hydrotransit 1200 Dry Pack - 20 Liters - Special Buy:

I purchased this pack a few years ago. It is basically a small dry bag with shoulder straps and external mesh pockets. I have used it a lot for bike commuting in the rain. It's big enough to hold the Eagle Creek 18x12 Pack-It folder, which is very convenient for packing a change of clothes. I have never had a problem with leaks. The construction is very solid.

The straps are minimal for carrying much of a load. I rarely carry more than 15 lbs. The back has no internal structure or frame. If you load the pack up, it takes on a rounded shape, so it isn't real stable when you are moving.

Bottom line - At the REI Outlet price it's a good deal if you need a waterproof pack for light loads.

Comments about Seattle Sports Hydrotransit 1200 Dry Pack - 20 Liters - Special Buy:

Used this bag for while doing trailwork for five months in juneau ak. It rains almost every day in juneau and i never had an issue with my stuff getting wet. The only thing I didnt like was there is no frame or support of any kind so a water bottle or even an orange will dig into your back all day.
