With an adaptable and smart-looking design, the REI Snowcrest parka offers 3 levels of protection. Wear the shell with the liner, wear only the shell or wear only the liner.

REI Elements®-rated nylon shell is breathable, waterproof and windproof up to 60 mph
Hood has front and back volume adjustments to preserve vision, and hood's faux fur trim can be zipped on or off
Bonded placket protects 2-way front zipper and keeps wind from moving through; rip-and-stick closures secure placket
1-hand-adjustable drawcord hem and adjustable cuffs seal in warmth
Pit zippers let excess heat escape; articulated arms enhance mobility and minimize hem lift when arms are raised
Shell has 2 snap-flap/zip handwarmer pockets and 2 snap-flap chest pockets; interior zip chest pocket has a cord port
Insulated liner jacket features cuffs with stretch binding, a 1-hand-adjustable drawcord hem, zippered hand pockets and an interior pocket with cord port
Polyfill synthetic insulation stays warm even when damp; Snowcrest liner's back length is 25.5 in.

I purchased this coat for a snowboard trip to northwest Montana. I wnated a jacket I could use for the week but didn't want to commit to on I wouldn't be able to use off the slopes. It preformed wonderfully on the mountain, shieling with wind, rain, and snow. The removeable faux fur is a nice feature in case the weather turns too wet. Removeable inner jacket and outter pit vents are awesome for temp regulation (and inner jacket is cute on it's own too). It's stylish for nights out. I'm petite and usually have a hard time finding a good fitting jacket but this one has a feminin cut and looks great on. Great overall purchase.

This jacket fits! I am 5'7", 200 lbs and busty, and the extra large fit perfectly. It even looks good. It's a woman's jacket that fits a woman's proportions. My only problem is the hood is large enough to wear a helmet underneath, which means my bare head gets lost in it. I will deal with that, as all else on this jacket from the pit zips on down have kept me warm, dry and stylish in some nasty windstorms and blizzards so far this season.

My wife picked this coat out, and I bought it for her as a gift.

She wears a large, and the coat fits nicely, with room for her to layer for cold weather however she wants without having to worry about fitting the coat over everything. There's a little extra length that provides some weather protection to keep things warm as well.

I am happy because she is warm, but she's also happy because the coat looks nice at the same time. It's not bulky or baggy and the liner and shell are both attractive and functional.

Really, a lovely coat all around, both in form and function.

REI offered a fabulous deal on this jacket on Black Friday when the price dropped by 50%. I had always wanted another 3-in-1 jacket and this fit the bill. The color is good--greenish pewter, it's comfy, has great pockets (some with zippers under the flaps) AND it has a double zipper, which a lot of manufacturers have dropped. I can also removed the faux fur around the hood. A good deal/a good purchase. Thanks, REI!

I'd been searching for a warm, waterproof, and stylish jacket for years and never found one that quite fit the bill - until now. This jacket is exactly what I had yearned for. I am 5' 7" and about 145 lbs. and the medium fits me perfectly. The jacket is extremely well made, flattering, and I know it will keep me warm and dry for years to come.

This coat is very warm and comfortable. I am 5'4" 120 lbs and SMALL has plenty of room for several layers even with the liner. I think an XS would have fit, but not sure if I could wear a bulky sweater then. The sleeves are a bit long for me, but I frequently have that problem with coats. The Deep Mahagony is a beautiful, rich color. It is much easier to attach the liner to the coat than others I have owned. The liner and jacket look great on their own, with liner being slightly fitted. The one issue I have is that with the fur attached to the hood, it is huge and hangs way down over my face so I can't see anything except my feet. There is a draw string adjustment on the back of the hood, but when it is tightened so the hood fits it looks pretty silly.
