Comments about Liquidlogic Inuit 13.5 Kayak:
I bought this at the end of the season, with more online than in-person research. REI has been outstanding in both the deal they gave me and the customer care they provided, so it all amounted to an offer I could not refuse :)
This is a very nicely designed boat, and I am very impressed with its performance. It is shorter and wider than most touring boats, but I track in this thing straighter than I have in longer boats that had a skeg! It seems that this greenland hull design really works. It is also easy to edge and maneuver. I had it in some good 2-3 ft swell on a windy day in the Potomac, and the upturned bow just glided over the waves so nicely, now I really want to try it out on the bay :) It is not a high performance touring/sea kayak, but if you want a solidly built, versatile kayak, this is a great option, and it will take me everywhere I need to go for now, and allow me to grow my options with my skills.
Easier to carry than expected, I don't really feel the advertised 55lbs. It might be because it's nicely balanced and the padding in the cockpit is ideally placed to double as a shoulder carry pad.
One important note about the fit: it is advertised as a "smaller paddler" boat. The other reviewer had it right though: it is not! I am 5'10, 150lbs, size 11 men's shoes, and it is rather too big for me. I guess that since it's a cross-over, many comments on the size have to do with treating it as a rec boat, in which case people prefer a tub to lounge in. If you want to use it as a touring boat, control it with your body and roll, then this is a full size adult boat. For me, I moved the knee braces, I keep the foot pegs adjusted tight, and I'll add some lateral padding.
I was going to knock off a star because the hatch covers, while very easy to put on and take off, are rather loose and let water in. But the Liquidlogic customer service is exemplary, and within 2 days of noticing that they are mailing me tighter hatches to replace, no questions asked. So for that, I'm putting the fifth star back on :)

Comments about Liquidlogic Inuit 13.5 Kayak:
The Inuit 13.5 is an excellent boat. Tracks well, turns easily, very stable and responsive. Compared to the Wilderness Tsunami line, this boat seems more alive, easier to turn, while the Tsunamis track straight but lay low in the water and seem stiff. I would not characterize this as a boat for the "small-framed paddler," like the Tsunami 135 (an excellent boat for smaller adults). The Inuit 13.5 is full-size (I'm 6' and 185 lbs), while the Inuit 14.5 seems oversized and a bit of a barge for the average adult body. My local kayak dealer referred to the 14.5 as a "Bubba boat" due to its generous volume. Test paddle the Inuit and Tsunami to feel which is best for you.
