by Travel StufffromMidweightWas looking for a heavier wool sock for cold weather riding. These socks worked well. Very comfortable. Now wearing when hiking and traveling and haven't found too heavy.

by TimberwolffromGreat socks for cold weather cyclingUsed late last winter and again this fall. Use everyday for commuting on my bike to work. So far they have been warm enough for 55 minute morning commute at 16 degrees F with Pearl Izumi Barrier shoe covers. Also used on day tour in rain and 40 degree F. Very comfortable. Better than the lighter weight PhD wool socks I use for temps above 40.

by UrbanCyclistfromWas hoping for better...I bought these socks last winter (2011) and used them regularly last year and have used them regularly this year. I ride in harsh Chicago winters and it can easily dip way below freezing, obviously, I needed something that could perform in extreme cold conditions. These socks are perfect if you will be commuting less than 1 hour in. Anything beyond that and your feet are going to be cold. I would recommend these for commuters who are looking for a cheap, wool, and durable sock for winter commuting with a commute less than an hour.

by Mike1050fromGreat Winter Riding SocksThese are some of the best winter riding socks I've used. They keep my feet warm when riding under 40F down to 20F. I also use them for running outside on really cold days.
