              I really wish I saw the other reviews before I picked this up from my local store. I commute 15 miles to work and sometimes have a handlebar bag which bar mounted lights were obstructed by. This product is much needed that it keeps the bars free but as soon as I put somewhere of 2 lbs of torque on I heard a crack and the plastic holding the bolt cracked. I like that I'll be getting my money back but the warning is out there. Don't waste your time. Delta, build this out of aluminum or an alloy.

              This product is a great idea, but it is made out of weak stiff plastic. I broke the core out of mine when mounting it. I did not over torque the bolt. With the core gone it is worthless. I note the other reviewers broke on the first ride. REI should pull this product from its web pages and shelves. I would give it less than one star if possible -- it is truely worthless.

                I slapped this device on my bike on Friday night, and on Saturday morning, took off for a metric with my son. 3-1/2 miles into the ride, the Computer Caddy broke, dumping my headlight and computer to the ground. Fortunately, they didn't get run over, and even more fortunately, I didn't have to ride in the dark.

                Avoid this product until the manufacturer fixes its problem or provides a maximum weight. And be careful in your selection of the manufacturer's other stem-mount accessories, like the one for your smart phone, or you may get to see it do some acrobatics when it tumbles along the road.
