        Comments about Lifeline Instant Cold Pack:

        I guess you get what you pay for.

        I was looking for an ice pack that I could use to help keep down swelling incase of an emergency. I bought 5 packs and figured I would break one open to see how cold it got, carry two in my pack and keep two at home for resuply.

        These packs would not be effective at keeping swelling down. Directions state not to apply the pack directly to skin. If you didn't I don't how these could possibly cool you down or reduce swelling. In addition, the packs loose their "peak temperature" after only a couple of minutes.

        Not worth the extra weight in your pack. I'm going to keep looking.
