I practiced with every mini pump in my local REI before buying this one. Sure it's pricey but I would buy this again in a heartbeat. I only use it for presta valves so there's no flipping the head for my mountain bike (I have one of the plastic mini pumps for that one). I'm on my second triathlon training cycle and I depend on this pump for flats while I'm out on the road. I have no problem with leaks, the hose is long enough, and it's not hard to pump. Roadie tires have such high psi that this is the ONLY mini pump I can use if not a regular pump. If my hands were cold I wouldn't be able to push the smaller pump models. The handle is small and curved to fit comfortably in the palm and there's a foot rest to keep the whole thing planted upright on the ground. The metal barrel feels solid, has never dented, and the whole thing fits snugly with a low profile on my bike using the same screws of my water bottle cage. Sometimes it rattles against my bike tube but a small adjustment and tightening of the Velcro takes care of it.

I got this pump as an alternative to the Topeak Road Morph because I pump my tires to 120psi. I've bent the pump tube in two Road Morphs because it's so thin. This pump is better in that the tube is thicker and sturdier and the position you pump it in is more stable. it's also pretty compact and has a neat design. The con is really the screw-on female end. It's a hassle in tight spaces and I often got imperfect seals. Eventually, after a few weeks of use, it started leaking air out of the connection of the female end to the hose.

This pump came highly recommended, received great reviews and looked pretty cool upon examination. For a few weeks, it worked as advertised, like a champ. But, I have a mountain bike and a road bike - and thus must change the pump head between shraeder and presta.

This is where the problem arises--the female part that conects to the tube valve screws into a plastic hose on the pump. That connection was aparently prone to failure - since it developed a leak very quickly after purchase. I'd recommend a pump with all metal connectors.

Wanted a pump that I could take on the road but could still use at home. This pump fits that need perfectly. Screws on securley and is easy to pump with the footstand. Fills a tire to 120 psi realtively easy considering its size. If you don't already have a good floor pump for your garage, then this would be a good compromise if you had a pressure gauge handy.

Overall a very good pump. Feels sturdy with its aluminum construction and looks nice too :)

Usually with mini pump one of two things happens....Its super small, well built but by the time you get 100 psi in a tire its 3 hours later, or it works good but breaks before you ever put it in a backpack or mount on a bike to actually use on a bike.

I really bought this pump with no hopes at all just a test from other reviews. It honestly is amazing, its pretty good high output for its size (about 120 pumps to get 90 psi in a 23c Tire) its super durable, reallllly light for its size.

This is an excellent portable pump that I'd recommend to anyone that bike commutes or tours. It's extremely lightweight for its size, and since it's floor standing with a tube, it's very easy to use.

Was just copying this link to send to a friend, and saw nobody had reviewed this yet, so figured I better give a first one.

This is the best compact pump I've ever owned. It's strong, pumps lots of air fast, and durable. It has a hose with a threaded end, so you thread the hose to the tube intake, and you can set the pump on the ground then to pump. Doesn't keep coming loose, plus you're not sawing the tube intake back and forth while you pump, with will often create another leak in the tube.
