The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Elie Gulf 120 XE Sit-On-Top Kayak:
So far, only one use on a larger reservoir, a windy day. Tracks great, and as advertised, super comfortable seating. Roomy, dry cockpit (I'm 6-0, 185#) and didn't need the scupper plugs that came with the boat. Very stable and confidence-inspiring, so I'm looking forward to my next paddle which will be on a tidal river.
Cons: Seatback angle is adjustable via straps; the retaining slot fingers for the strap broke on the first use. Seat's still adjustable but this needs to be resolved somehow. On the topic of seat: I rooftop on Yakima J-racks. The boat develops a nice hum >55 mph up there! And you can't transport upside-down else the seatback would hit the roof of your car - it's not hinged, rather it's on a stiff plastic tongue with no means to easily fold it flat into the hull. You have to roof it either on its keel or sideways on J-racks.
Nit: the stick-on hull lettering ("Elie") doesn't stick on, some of the letters peeled off while I was handling the boat to/from the water, so I just I removed the rest of the lettering, no biggie. Again, a nit.
