I ordered a medium, which is the size I normally wear, and these are loose across the hand and a bit long in the fingers. There's padding, but it doesn't seem to help in the area between the thumb and index finger, and I got sore after about 8 miles. I wore them in 57 degree weather and they were warm enough at that temperature.
Perhaps they would be fine for someone without joint/hand problems, but padding problem is a deal breaker for me.
