The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Petzl Elia Climbing Helmet - Women's:
I like this helmet very much. What I do not like is what it looks like on me :P but you can't put that over safety, so I will continue using it. It is very comfortable and adjustable. Does not bother my ears or feels heavy at all.

Comments about Petzl Elia Climbing Helmet - Women's:
Been playing on rocks usually with rappeling for a few years now and ashamed to admit I finally decided it was time to protect my noggin. Knew I was going to be doing a very dirty cliff and a cave on a outing so tried on at least five different helmets.
Looks wise, this was not my first choice but as soon as I put it on, it just fit right. I have a pretty small head and normally find childrens hats fit me better than adults to give some context. This helmet adjusted down to the size I needed and seemed like it would adjust down even more. It's comfortable, stays in place, and the best part is that I forget I'm even wearing it. That's what is key in safety equipment.
On the outing the rappel was pretty uneventful (always a good thing) but where I got to try the helmet out was in the cave. Shimmied up a narrow vertical crack and slipped while braced between walls. It flung me forward and my head went straight into the opposite wall. If I hadn't been wearing it, at the very least, I would have been hurt.. possibly knocked out and would have certainly fallen all the way. With the helmet, it absorbed the shock near completely (with barely a scratch on it) and I ended up using my head since it was braced on the wall now to balance myself. Worked out pretty well.
Also, the headlight clips are very nice. Easy to put it on and remove and when does a head light not come in handy.
I wish it had some under chin padding but I honestly didn't have any discomfort or chaffing after wearing it straight for a few hours. Just seems like it should be there.
Only regret is that I didn't buy this a long time ago.

I like that the helmet is so easy to adjust and it fits my small head very well. I've had this helmet on some longer multi pitch climbs and some short ones too. It is comfortable in every situation. The shell is very scratch resistant too. Overall just a great product.

Comments about Petzl Elia Climbing Helmet - Women's:
The Women's version of this helmet does not fit well. The tightening system up on the side of the helmet that is specific to the women's helmet has compromise the overall fitting of the helmet. Instead it tightens up towards the top of my head and easily slips off if I bend over. The mens version, or version that tightens at the back of the head, works a thousand times better. When I tighten the straps, the helmet tightens lower on my head, creating an overall better fit. No slipping if I tilt my head down or over. The women's version has a different tightening system to make it easier in case you have a pony tail... Just wear a loose ponytail and you'll be fine. The men's version fits your head properly.
